Payton Planar Magnetics has teamed up with Renesas Electronics Corporation, a leading semiconductor provider, to enhance the efficiency and performance of advanced AI data center power systems.
Payton contributes custom planar magnetics tailored for emerging high‑voltage topologies. The company’s ultra‑high power density planar‑based matrix transformers support 3 kW conversion from 400 V to 48 V in an LLC DCX configuration, operating at 650 kHz. Renesas incorporates this into a complete 12 kW system that fits within a form factor only slightly larger than a standard full brick module.
